Fergus
has worked with a number of groups and organisations as a freelance
consultant, providing input and support to reviews and change processes
within organisations. He has also worked with a number of media
organisations in the development of programmes relating to relationship
and family issues.

Workshop
for midwives involved in the presentation of antenatal education
for parents birthing at St. John of God Hospital in Subiaco.
The aim of the workshop was to give the participants increased
confidence in dealing with particularly anxious client groups.
The workshop also focused on increasing the participants understanding
of group process and techniques and understanding the role of
the professional presenter in the context of the organisation. |

Consultancy
for St. John of God Healthcare Subiaco. The aim of the consultancy
was to assist St. John of God Healthcare to complete a survey
of its midwifery staff. The aim of the survey was to: establish
and detail issues in the working relationships between midwives,
obstetricians, and other consulting specialists and to determine
the impact if any of these relationships issues on the behaviour
of staff within the work context (e.g. risk taking, morale,
team work, information sharing). The survey was completed with
individual participants during half-hour interviews. The results
of the survey was presented in a reportThe consultancy was extended
through participation as an expert adviser in a working party
to consider and implement strategies in response to the results
of the survey. |

Work with
Channel 31 to prepare and present a fifteen-minute segment in
a series of half-hour television programmes looking at social
and family issues. The segment was on 'late starters' (i.e.
